Making my scarves or felt objects I often work in phases, the next step building on the result of the previous one, always ready to take a new approach if inspired.
I aim for texture and interesting surfaces while keeping the work decoratively uncluttered. I want my pieces to be beautiful but without looking perfect or complicated and I prefer to achieve patterns and shapes through my felting process more than from following a predetermined design.
